Name my credit repair business
Posted by: | CommentsI own a credit restoration company and have just inked a deal for a joint venture. We need to name the new company, but it’s tough to find a catchy available url/name for a credit company. I need the name and url to be the same. It should be relatively short and easy to remember.

My fiance’s ex-wife put a credit card in his name, and didn’t pay it.?
Posted by: | CommentsIn any event, his credit has gone into the toilet, because in the midst of doing this, it somehow changed his address to her Atlanta address. So when his credit was pulled, not only was there a default, there was also this address change. We have contacted the credit bureau, but now we need credit restoration, because we are in the midst of trying to purchase a house.
I would definitely file a police report and put a credit freeze on both of your credits until this is resolved. You have the time houses will be cheap for awhile.
What is your opinion of any service that offers credit repair?
Posted by: | CommentsI need to fix my credit, and there are people on E-bay and elsewhere who guarantee the full restoration of my credit. Are they legitimate?
Be very careful when you get these emails…in general if it seems to good to be true it most likely is. There are legit credit repair programs out there BUT, they are not as helpful as they seem.
The best way (there is no easy way) is to pay down they card or account with the highest interest rate or APR first. Then go down the line until you have your debt paid off.
Then to repair your credit keep a balance on your cards but keep it below 30% of your credit limit. This shows that you have and can handle credit. Also when you pay your bills, pay more then the minimum balance. Also try to pay before your finance charge is charged. That way you pay less interest on what you owe.
Here is a very useful website about credit repair. http://www.charterfundingmn.com/library.html?category=credit&p=309566&acctid=309566&PVLID=7552
Eliminate items off my credit report?
Posted by: | CommentsI am trying to fix my credit report. I have some items on there that are close to the 7 years and was wondering if there was anyway to speed that up to get them off my report? I heard that if you continue to dispute the account then sometimes it will be deleted?
How do the credit restoration companies work? I have paid all the debts off it is jus that they are line items on my report that I want off asap. Are there companies that work to elimiante them off the report?
Unfortunately, even on the stuff you’ve paid off, nothing but time will remove them from your report. If you’ve paid them off, that shows up on the report that you paid. What are you disputing? If they are legitimate items, you aren’t going to do any good disputing them.
You would be better off to try to improve your score in other ways like pay all bills on time. If you have a credit card, us it for groceries, everything, and then PAY THE BILL before the due date. Late payments do more damage than just about anything to your score. However, if you start establishing an on time payment record by using a credit card and paying it on time every month, it will improve your score.
just be careful as most of these programs are a scam
Are there any good credit restoration companies or lawyers?
Posted by: | CommentsI am looking for a company or lawyer that provides a credit repair or restoration service. One that is not a scam and delivers results.
most of them are scams. but if you have a relative (spouse or parent) with good credit, you can have them co-sign a small loan (try to get a credit card at the local bank with a low credit limit – about $500 to start). When you show responsibility in paying that, you can rebuild your credit that way
I’m considering using a credit restoration service.?
Posted by: | CommentsWho has done this? What company did you use? How much did it cost? Was it worth it? How was your overall experience? Any other info is welcome. (I’m talking about the companies that dispute items)
I did it all myself.
ANYTHING these places will do, you can do for FREE. These places are a waste of time and the valuable money you need to either payoff, or fix any outstanding items.
Do some homework on credit repair!! If it sounds to good to be true it probably is. Once you learn the ins and outs of credit, you will be set for life, and be educated for future credit decisions. If you pay someone else to do it, what would you learn?? Nothing.
Everything that credit counseling centers / repairers do, can be done 100% by you!
Advice on Credit Restoration?
Posted by: | CommentsWe have been trying to reestablish my husbands credit. I’m not blaming anyone but he went through an ugly divorce about 2 yrs ago and it really hurt his credit. Anyway back in Jan. his scores were in the low 400’s, so we disputed some things and paid some things that had been charged off. His scores are now 565, 546 and 519 which is about 100 points higher than they were 8 months ago so I guess we are making some headway. We are trying to buy a house and that is the main reason we are trying to reestablish his credit. We are unable to get a mortgage loan yet. For the past 2 yrs he has not opened any credit accounts so now we are being told that this is hurting us and that we should open up a few credit card accounts. If this is a good idea where can we go for a good credit card with not so good credit? i have tried searching on-line but alot of them say they give your info to several different companies to find the best one. I don’t want the credit report pulled a bunch of times cause I know that cant be good. And I also don’t want to receive a bunch of junk mail. Can anyone please give me some advice on how to further better the credit report? Thanks in advance.
Why not find a bank that does manual underwriting for a home loan?
It’s what banks did before all the fico score worshiping. back when bankruptcy and debt was almost unheard of. Since the fico score and credit cards came into our lives bankruptcy and debt have sky- rocketed.
If you pay as you go. If you live on less money than you make. You will have money and not have to worship the fico. If you like borrowing money and having payments, paying interest. By all means, worship the fico.
I recently started as an independent rep. for a credit restoration company.?
Posted by: | CommentsI am marketing the business under my own company name. So can I call myself the CEO?
No, not legally at least unless the business is a C-Corp or S-Corp. If it’s just you and you are not incorporated, you would be titled Owner or Proprietor.
