38 & Looking to Repair Credit Score (Personal and L.L.C.)?
Posted by: | CommentsI had some very old debt that has caused me to have a very low FICO (568).
SInce then have started my own business and want to get credit score all cleaned up.
2 Questions:
Have checks in hand to pay the less than $2K in bad credit reports. I assume the best way to proceed is to get a secure credit card with a bank.
1.) How long to get a near perfect credit score using the secure credit card and making double payments every month?
2.) How can I get a company credit card so that my business can begin to build credit? Secure card in the company name?
Cheers,
Many CC companies offer a biz card, Capitol One does. They will use your score for the application though.
It depends on how old the debt is, they stay on your report for anywhere from 4 to 10 years depending on the holder of the debt.
Double payments will start showing up in 60 days…expect your score to start going up from then on if you at least make double payments. Also, if you have the cash, pay everything with a card then pay off the card quickly, they love that
And keep to the plan, don’t spend your cash on other things "just this once", use it to pay off the monthly charges on the card.
You can even almost max the card out then hold half the payment in cash to pay it off next month. This will show a higher balance paid off quickly but dang it, you have to keep the cash to pay it or trouble will come fast.

Consolidate your debt and then cut your spending on non essentials ,and use the money save bye non wasteful spending practices on repaying your debt, please note that if there is no action on a delinquent account for 7 years the debt is considered a loss and will not effect your score,
They can help but you can do a great deal yourself. Annualcreditreport.com is a free site where you can get your credit report. They have information there on how to dispute incorrect items, if any. credit repair is different from a credit counseling service or consolidation service as described in another posting.
What the quickest way to repair my credit. I currently have a 530 credit score.?
Posted by: | CommentsHello to all. I am looking to raise my score to the 775 as soon as humanly possible. I understand each case is different, but would value any general advice out there. Thanks for your time guys.
Pay ALL your bills ON TIME and DO NOT apply for any credit anywhere until your score gets to where you want it. Get your credit balances down to less than 50% at least and lower than 30% if possible.
Effective ways to repair my credit score?
Posted by: | CommentsI have had established credit for about 9 years. I never had any sort of problem until the last few years. My credit score was drastically effected. I had a charged off credit card, medical bills sent to collection then reported to the credit bureau, and the list goes on and on. I am not a bad person, just got in a position that I just couldn’t catch up. I realize that the damage is done, but I have every intention of paying off everything I owe, including my credit cards by Xmas. My credit score basically went from high 600s, to low 500s. I am looking to buy a house, but it wouldn’t be fore another 2 years, is that enough time to repair credit score?
Once I pay all my credit cards off, which are all over the limit, and late, would that help a lot? How about paying the charged off credit card? How to diputes work, are they effective?
Сredit repair workеd fine to fix my credit. They disputed and removed lots of bad items from my credit report. I used this service – freecreditreport.sinfree.net

Its really quite easy. PAY ALL YOUR BILLS ON TIME!
Dont pay some company to "repair" your credit. They are all scams… and that is money that needs to pay back the people you borrowed money from.
I am a foreign national, living in the EU. I lived in the US for a year last year and I think there might have been one or two late /unpaid medical bills etc. I plan to go back to the US permanently in a couple of years time. Is there any way I can build up my US credit score while I am overseas…?
i’m not sure if the u.s. system is the same as the u.k.,but this is what i would do:-
take out one or two credit u.s. credit cards and maybe get a mobile phone on contract. use the cards fairly regularly but keep the balances reasonably low. make sure you pay at least the minimum amount every month.use the phone in the same way – make a few calls a month and pay the bill.in the u.k. this would at least help to repair your credit score.hope this helps
How do you repair your credit score when you don’t make that much money?

What I did first was learning how to manage my money properly. I started budgeting my money. I wrote out a budget sheet and was surprised on how if I cut back on little things like eating out all the time, cooking meals at home, preparing my lunch at home, buy monthly passes to commute to work, and renting movies from the library instead of Blockbuster just to name a few shortcuts, saved me some money. Then I worked overtime at my job(you could get a part time/second job) and used my overtime check for my household expenses and my regular check to pay my bills. The best thing to do is to talk to a expert credit counselor in your area. The counselor can talk to your creditors and make arrangements for you to pay low monthly rates to clear your debt. This could help your credit score because instead of your debt showing as a negative on your credit report, it will show as a positive from your creditor as an account in good standing. Most importantly, pay your bills on time because you do not want to pay added fees or additional interest. Good luck. I hope everything works out.
